Mixed reality devices like the Hololens open up a new realm of  possibilities in terms of user interfaces and user experience. Today, we  mainly find game-like experiences or ports of a 2D user interface in a  3D space, but with more time in the device, our group discovered options  that make much better use of this space. From our own research and  experience in working on practical applications in mixed reality, we  explore what we’ve learned and user experience processes we’ve adapted  to create new and meaningful user interfaces that take better advantage  of the medium.
